Worldgate Ltd.

The Worldgate lads.

Above you can see us loitering outside the Worldgate Centre, waiting for Deb to get her van to take us to the pub one lunchtime. From the left, you see Steve Ward (training bloke), Steve Carter (marketing bloke), Michael Cheung (multimedia design bloke) and myself (you know me).

John

John holding a screwdriver manacingly.

John left Worldgate to start his own business with Damon. Damon also worked at Worldgate occasionally. They now have a small company called inSignificant Productions doing all sorts of multimedia work, based at the Keele University science park.He used to be part of a band called Mainframe. You can find out more aboutthe band by going to 5 minutes on.He was also involved with Damon and others in developing the somewhat surreal adventure Fish!, one of the many adventures to have come from Magnetic Scrolls.

Note that at the time of this writing, the Magnetic Scrolls web site does not appear to be doing much. Going by the source code, it may have been hacked. Pending the arrival of something a bit more interesting on that site, here are a couple of somewhat more decent links:

Michael

Michael

Michael left Worldgate to work at Staffordshire University, as their web editor. I think this means that he continues to be a web designer. He is now thoroughly embroiled in University politics.

Steve Ward

Steve Ward

Steve stayed at Worldgate for some time after myself. However, I am not surewhat he is doing these days. He was a tutor at Worldgate, teaching folks fromaround Staffordshire how to use computers, word processing, HTML and the like.

Matt

Matt

Matt left Worldgate for a job at ICL. But he didn't stay there long.He joined Deb and Martin developing web sites. I don't know what the company they joined was called though. Sorry. Anyway, he and Martin later left that company to set up their own. I hear they are now based back in the building which used to house Worldgate. Matt is generally skilled as a web applications type.

Deb

Deb

Deb left Worldgate to join Matt and Martin at a web design company. The other two left, but she is still working there. She is a graphics designer.

Justin

Justin

I haven't seen Justin since he left Worldgate. He went to workfor ICL. Presumably continuing on the networking side of things.

Martin

Martin

Another person I haven't kept track of very well. As you may have noticed from other people's histories here, he left to work with Matt and Deb, and is currently (I think) working with Matt. He is a multimedia kind of fellow.
