21 August 2001 - A month without updating the site ... and I had such good intentions. I have just recently returned from Coed y Brenin in North Wales. I spent the weekend there mountain biking. I went there just over a month ago with a small gang and we felt that we had to try again. We'll probably be making another visit in October. As you can probably guess, we like the place. All the guys who went there love it and since the first visit we have all got ourselves full suspension bikes. As we are such regulars there now, I have decided to dedicate a section to the place, where I'll be posting photos and tall tales. Why don't you take a look how it's progressing?
26 July 2001 - I came across the degree confluence project just recently. This is a project organised to "visit each of the latitude and longitude integer degree intersections in the world, and to take pictures at each location." Thinking that Dave was a bit of a fan of his GPS, I thought I should send him details. But in his own words, I "underestimated (his) geekness". In fact he has already photographed a confluence at 53°N 3°W near Wrexham with assistance from Emma back at Easter. Dave, I bow to your supreme geekness!
26 July 2001 - Chia Chin (another of the ISP alumni) has just been in touch. He has got himself a tune placed at mp3.com. Why don't you go there and have a listen to bartok69? I haven't been able to listen to it yet: currently I do not have my sound card correctly installed.
30 June 2001 - I just got an e-mail from Yvette. It's a little while since she was last in touch, and it turns out that she is currently travelling in Armenia, meeting the relatives and struggling with poor phone connections while attempting to keep everyone up to date with her travels.
In case you didn't know, I used to go to school with Yvette from age eleven to age thirteen. We used to sit together in class. Those were the years spent at the International School of Paris. Everyone who went there seems to have special memories of it and a number of us alumni still try to keep in touch. Though admittedly, some such as myself are particularly poor at doing this.
27 April 2001 - At last, my site has performed some useful purpose. Malcolm just got in touch. I went to school with him at the Ecole Active Bilingue in Paris. That was back when I was about ten. I probably haven't seen him since I was twelve and haven't kept in touch. Fortunately, Malcolm tracked me down through the web site. He's now living in Sydney, Australia. I'll have to hunt out some of the old photos and scan them. That'll make him regret getting back in touch!
2 February 2001 - It looks as though I might have made it through the first stage of my redesign. All of the pages on the site have been validated against XHTML 1.0 Strict. Even the stylesheet has been validated. All except for the guestbook, which is limited because I do not have control over the HTML generated by the script. At least I can blame all that on my ISP :-)
Hopefully, this means that I will get around to updating the site a bit more often. I have already updated a number of the pages, and simplified the linking. This home page is also somewhat simplified, as I don't intend to keep quite so much on it.
