Hi Purnima,

If you take a look at my other post (http://www.gratiartis.org/2008/04/weblogic-scripting-tool-scripts/) there are links to a few places where you should be able to find example scripts. My Gist scripts don't cover datasources, but some of the other places mentioned should be useful to you.

There are quite a few details that you need to go into when creating a data source, so it may be worth using the script recording functionality in the admin console to help you get the basic settings that you need, ready for your hand-cranked versions.

For anybody looking to get hold of example scripts, I have created a gist on GitHub providing examples of how to create a domain using WLST. It's pretty basic at the moment, so if you try any of it out and think of your own improvements, please let me know.

Well ... my theory goes that most IT folks under 30 are still flitting around employers, getting experience and improving their salary. At least for me, flitting seemed to stall at around 30. So I'm currently in my 10th year at Halifax/HBOS/LBG. :-/

I have never achieved the volume of posts that would usually be expected of a blog. They tend to come in short bursts. Especially these days, as what might have been posted here in the past ends up on Facebook, Flickr, Twitter or some other random social network. I'm also spending much of my 'free' coding time on other projects such as my little brother's site for holiday apartments in Portugal. Maybe I ought to tweak this site to show some of the content I have elsewhere?

For now, I'll be checking in on your blog to see what you're up to and looking forward to hearing your stories when you get back to the UK.
